Vendor Specific Catalogs
The new Vendor specific catalogues are ingenious combination of catalog information and library symbols. They offer very high convenience in selecting and using manufacturer specific components. They help improve the engineering design process by intensifying effectiveness and by decreasing the conceptual time. We have done the work for you and all you have to do is simply have to choose the appropriate components for any desired OEM. |

Dynamic Measuring Instruments
In the version 5.6, in order to avoid inserting useless components in real schematics, new analysis tools are developed. Dynamic measuring instruments, accessible by a dedicated tool bar, can be inserted in a circuit during simulation. The measuring instruments are automatically placed on a separate layer, created deliberately to allow global modification of displayed values. It is now possible to display numeric values as well as register values in an internal Automation Studio™ file. The plotter is also enhanced. Thanks to the dynamic measuring instruments, it is now possible to read yet again the data registered on the saved internal file. |

Snapshot of a Circuit State
When schematics are composed of hundreds of components and simulation considers thermal phenomena, viscosity and fluid compressibility, it is imperative to optimize the simulation performance in order to obtain ideal simulation time. For this reason, we have introduced, in the new version 5.6, the snapshot of a circuit state. This function allows capturing a circuit’s numerical state from a given moment on and thus prevents simulation relaunch. The snapshot saves the instant values of the simulator and could be used to reinitialize a simulation. It also allows analyzing the differences of the circuit behaviours as a result of the modifications and technical data changes. |

Master Symbol
The version 5.6 includes a brand new function, facilitating the components search in the different libraries – the master symbol. It was added as a result of numerous requests for new symbols and because of our concern not to overload the existing libraries. This new function simplifies symbol research and differentiation of simulation models. From now on, all symbols in the library that have gray background give the user the possibility to access a floating window containing other elements similar to the master. |

Discrete Pumps
The version 5.6 features a brand new function helping visualize and interact with sub-components in pumps. Any parameter could be quickly selected, without having to look up into personalised libraries. The pumps are developed in general diagrams as they are described in the manufactures’ technical specifications. This new feature is called discrete pumps and it makes possible to discretize a configured pump inserted in a circuit. |

Flexible Training Materials
In the version 5.6, multiple new functionalities are added to improve development of flexible training materials and to enhance comprehension and learning. In order to optimize circuit design and connexion comprehension, a diagnostic for open paths was added. A new Layers manager gives the possibility to control the layers’ visibility in simulation mode. From now on, audio files with extension WAV could be associated to the components “alarm” in Human Machine Interface. This makes it easy to insert vocal comments, directly synchronised to the simulation, in files dedicated to training. The association of several files allows creating multilingual didactic documents. |

Perfect Fluid Line
In order to facilitate the correspondence of technical specification from a catalogue with the components of Automation Studio™, we have introduced the perfect fluid line - it does not generate any losses, does not influence viscosity and does not create or evacuate any heat. |

Plug and Play
Another useful new feature of the version 5.6 is the “plug and play” capacity to assign USB hardware to steering wheels and pedals from the proportional hydraulic and pneumatic libraries. This is called Instruction generation and gives the possibility to test, by means of electronic controls sold in stores, any mobile hydraulic system. In Hydraulics and Pneumatics, for each thermal, electrical and electrotechnical motor, it is now possible to control the speed and to modify it manually. Clutches can be controlled (engaged or released) via a control circuit. In the Gear box configurator, the number of possible shafts is increased to 200.. |
|
PRX
From now on the file extension generated by Automation Studio™ is PRX, and it does not depend on the application’s version. When Open Project is selected, all projects PR4, PR5 and PRX are visible simultaneously. The old extension PRO is listed independently. The same proceeding is applicable for the DXF format or the formats of the configurable valves Moduflex and Hydraforce, or PKX and HFX. |

Enhanced Project Exportation
In the new version, project exportation has been enhanced, due to increasing requests from Automation Studio™ users. The export formats have been modified and enriched. PDF files are generated from DXF, EMF and TIFF files. |

Group Variable Management
The Group variable management, added to the new version, helps conserving the initial assignation of variables set between transmitters and receivers. If they are grouped, they conserve their initial specifications when sent to a library or reinserted in a diagram. This allows building personalized libraries, with variable assignations that could be used multiple times. |
|
Hyperlinks
A great new feature of the latest 5.6 Automation Studio™ version is the new branch called Hyperlinks included in every drawn object. This function allows creating hyperlinks that launch external PRX files. The direct use of hyperlinks is in the creation of educational projects. It is now possible to design a directory of projects linked amongst them and this facilitates knowledge transfer, demonstration or other didactic objective, especially for complex systems. |
