Procedure to install Network License Manager on the server workstation

1.     Install the Network Licence Manager software from the Automation Studio™ CD on your server.  The server may also be a regular PC;

2.     Plug the network dongle into the parallel port or into one of the server USB ports;

3.     Install the Security Server software or the Network License Manager on the server. The Setup.exe file is located in the Network License Manager folder on the CD. You can also start the installation by clicking on « Install Licenses Manager » on the CD start screen;

4.     Once installed, the security service is automatically launched. It can be found in Windows local services (fig. 1-2). The « Automation Studio™ License Manager » link, which leads to the service server, and appears in the Windows Start menu, is just a visualization and configuration tool that displays statistics on users connected to the server (fig.1-1). Even if this window is closed, the security server remains active. It is possible to stop the security service by clicking on « Stop » in the security service dialog box;

5. To restart the security services simply click on « Start » in the security service dialog box. Those  modifications,  « Stop » or « Start », can be monitored in Windows local services whether the service is stopped (active black arrow) or running (active black square).   The "Port" field allows modifying the port number; "Refresh" refreshes the content of the window.
